Chicago Zombie March 2017: June 24th!
It’s that time again, zombies! The annual Chicago Zombie March is set for June 24th. The rules are very simple: Dress and be made up as a zombie and just shamble and act like one.
We will all meet at Millennium Park by the bean at 3:30 pm and proceed from there.
The last few years we have walked to the Tribune Center, then to Daley Plaza, back to Millennium Park and if we still have able-bodied zombies left, we will head over to the ABC7 news station for the 5:00 pm show.
Please as a rule of courtesy please don’t bother non-participants. The city of Chicago is kind enough to put up with our shenanigans – let’s not make them regret it!
Also please be mindful of the city and don’t smear/spill fake blood (or other gross stuff) on the sidewalks and store/restaurant windows (we can get sued and possibly banned from doing this again!)
If folks want their makeup done, look up Colleen Jones and David Lasley on Facebook.
If you don’t have the time to make an appointment, don’t worry! We will have a crew of zombie makeup artists to zombify you up (for a fee)! We are looking for a makeup spot.
More details will come as the march gets closer and closer.
We are in the middle of working on a makeup crew for the march. If you or someone you know is interested in doing makeup, message Colleen Jones or David Lasley for more info (make sure you include a link to some pics!)
So start those undead gears a rolling folks!
Keep up to date with the Chicago Zombie March on Facebook and Twitter.
RSVP at the official Facebook Event Page, and keep an eye on it for updates!

Assault on the Grindhouse: An Interactive Improv Experience

Gorilla Tango Originals presents a show B-Movie show like no other.
This is ASSAULT ON THE GRINDHOUSE!
Assault on the Grindhouse is an interactive horror comedy improv experience like you’ve never seen before.
For nine weeks, we will be taking a classic horror or cult film and reinventing it with some supremely talented improv artists.
It’s part What’s Up Tiger Lily and part Rocky Horror as we take nine different B-movies and recreate them as the films screen behind our actors and a foley artist/musician who will be rebuilding the entire film as you see it screen behind them.
Think of it as a variety show for your favorite cult movies.
First up will be a re-imagining of the 1936 drug scare film REEFER MADNESS on April 20th at 8:00 pm.
Assault on the Grindhouse will then run Thursdays for the next 8 weeks at Gorilla Tango starting on May 11th with a different film screening each week.
Tickets are available now at gorillatango.com
Directed by Matt Storc & improv Coaching by David Schwartzbaum
