Celebrate the Legacy of Lovecraft with Horror Society & Bucket O’ Blood Books & Records, March 15-16, 2018
March 15th, 7:00 pm: An Unnameable Night of Lovecraftian Delights
Join us for an evening celebrating the master of Eldritch terror – Howard Philips Lovecraft, on Thursday, March 15 to mark the 71st anniversary of his passing into the realm of the elder gods. Together, we shall descend into a realm of madness as works by Lovecraft and in honor of him are read. We will raise a toast with complimentary beers from Miskatonic Brewing Company (for those of us who have reached the antiquarian age of 21).
Dress to impress! Don your fanciest garb to set the atmosphere! Victorian/steampunk outfits encouraged–our friends from Windy City Steam Collective will be helping us distribute prizes to our finest dressed guests!
Following the reading, we shall carry the procession to DMen Tap, where we will slake our thirst with more delicious Miskatonic brews and feast on a Lovecraft-inspired menu, and the Bucket O’Blood staff will spin blasphemous music of an arcane and obscene nature.
Guaranteed to be an INDESCRIBABLE evening!
March 16th, 7:00 pm: Free Screening – HP Lovecraft Celebration Double Feature
Bucket O Blood, Horror Society, and the Windy City Horrorama present a FREE screening double feature celebrating the life and death of one of horror’s most prolific authors, HP Lovecraft.
The once lost, VHS 1990 cult discovery SOULTANGLER starts at 7pm in a shiny new restoration!
Followed by the horror classic BASKET CASE from Arrow’s brand new restoration at 8:30pm!

Windy City Horrorama Film Festival will be on hand to bring you some goodies TBA.
FREE event, but please, respect the space we’re in. Bucket O Blood and Horror Society put these events on for FREE because we love it. It may be a party, but please be sure to treat the store graciously.
