Women of Horror Call for Entries
We are thrilled to announce Horror Society’s 4th Film Festival in April… Women of Horror.
With each festival we try to bring a new and different theme into the movie theater, and this time it’s Lady’s Night!
On Saturday, April 25th from 5pm to 12am, Horror Society will feature films directed, produced, or written by women – or have the lead in the film be a female (killer, villain, etc.).
Our goal for this festival is to show the female side of the horror genre in a way that most of the horror fans are not familiar with. We want to display females in horror as the lead, dominant role instead of the victim. Many studios and companies need to stay away from this point of view because it does not attract the audience they are looking for. To us that is a shame. There are so many female directors doing indie horror now without the recognition they need and deserve. This is our chance to show those women that are making these types of films.
So with that said, we are looking for films (both feature and short) that go along with this theme. If you are a female director, producer, or are the lead role, here is your chance to get your film screened to an audience that will appreciate it. Submission fees are real cheap at only $20 for a short, $25 for a feature length film.
The theater is located on 4050 N. Milwaukee Ave in Portage Park. It’s a beautiful theater located in a great part of the city with state of the art equipment. We will have the theater from 5pm to 12am with vendors, giveaways, and more…..

Tickets are $15 for all 7 hours and a portion of the proceeds will be going to several Women’s Charities in the Chicago area.
Feel free to download the submission PDF Form at the link below.

Friday the 13th Screening Tickets
Please stop writing in asking for tickets to Friday the 13th. ChicagoHorror.com was given a set number to give away last week via a 3rd party promoter; those tickets went very fast, first come, first served, and are long gone. We don’t have more, we don’t have any to sell, and no, we’re not holding out on you – there are no tickets to be had from us at this point.

LET THE RIGHT ONE INÂ centers on 12-year-old loner Oskar who becomes attracted and attached to the new girl next door and learns she is quite different from other kids.
