A well-crafted horror film in the tradition of Guillermo del Toro’s THE DEVIL’S BACKBONE, Swedish import LET THE RIGHT ONE IN ably blends genre chills with genuine feeling. There are plenty of scares, but it remains moving and intelligent, a rare feat for the genre.

The Horror Society’s 4th Film Festival will be in April… Women of Horror.
With each festival HS tries to bring a new and different theme into the movie theater, and this time it’s… Lady’s Night!
On Saturday, April 25th from 5pm to 12am at the Portage Theater, Horror Society will feature films directed, produced, or written by women – or have the lead in the film be a female (killer, villain, etc.).
The theater is located on 4050 N. Milwaukee Ave in Portage Park. It’s a beautiful theater located in a great part of the city with state of the art equipment. We will have the theater from 5pm to 12am with vendors, giveaways, and more.
Tickets are $15 for all 7 hours and a portion of the proceeds will be going to several Women’s Charities in the Chicago area.
Tickets are available at the door and are available online.
