The stars are right for the return of the H.P. Lovecraft Memorial Ice Cream Social! Hear tales of unspeakable horror, see (and possibly win) forbidden tomes and strange artefacts, and partake of frozen confections colder than the howling void!
We are also pleased to welcome Lovecraft scholar Kenneth Hite who will be speaking about his book, Tour de Lovecraft: The Tales and Martin Mundt, who will be reading both from his own work and from the classic works of Lovecraft.

There is going to be a free screening of the film: PICKMAN’S MUSE. The film is based on H.P. Lovecraft’s HAUNTER OF THE DARK. The screening is open to the public, and will be held at the PORTAGE THEATER in CHICAGO (4050 N. Milwaukee Ave). The doors open at 12noon, the film will begin at 1pm; Sunday, August 23rd, 2009.
