The Halloween (Dark Arts) Annual Exhibition by Gallery Provocateur is part of Chicago Artists Month 2009, the fourteenth annual celebration of Chicago’s vibrant visual art community. In October, more than 200 exhibitions of emerging and established artists, openings, demonstrations, tours, open studios and neighborhood art walks take place at galleries, cultural centers and arts buildings throughout the city. Chicago Artists Month is organized by the Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs and is made possible through support provided by Bank of America.

Thriller costume contest and A Micheal Jackson Seance with Master Ron Fitzgerald ($5 suggested donation) The HAE returns for 2009 with prime offerings from the darkest corner of the haunted collection! Never look back: The infamous Bat-girl image was the first art piece ever created for The 1st Annual Halloween Art exhibit back in 1998. Strangely enough, she was never actually used as an official HAE poster…till now.

DREAM THEATRE COMPANY PRESENTS: ANNA, IN THE DARKNESS 2009: The Basement – by Chicago Playwright, Jeremy Menekseoglu.
A horror play in its 4th year: every year, patrons dare to witness Anna’s plight. This is a frightening play that is presented in the Dream Theatre style.
Dream Theatre’s Annual Horror Play takes a horrific new twist by taking the Audience out of Anna’s living room and into the bowels of the basement…
A young teacher has barricaded herself in the basement while the entire bloodthirsty town masses to kill her… And lucky you… You’re down in the darkness with her…
