Dark Chicago Staff

Dark Chicago is a network of websites focused on horror, the macabre, Halloween, haunted houses and all things spooky in Chicago. At the time of this writing there are 10+ websites actively involved and all helping each other to cross-promote and inform the Chicago horror community about various events, promotions and whatnot.

There are a core group of sites, however, that form the basis of this network: ChicagoHorror.com, ChicagoZombie.com, ChicagoVampire.com and HauntedHouseChicago.com (with DarkChicago.com as a quick overview site for quick reference). The people that makes these websites possible is as follows:

STAFF

Chad SavageCHAD SAVAGE: Owner, operator, designer and manager. Chad's company Sinister Visions inc. designs art, branding and websites for spooky people; Dark Chicago is one of the ways in which he supports the genres he loves.

CONTRIBUTORS

Kristin CarrollKRISTIN CARROLL: Kristin has been an avid horror genre fan since the age of 6. This is when her father introduced her to Vincent Price. Once that happened, there was no going back. Her favorite flicks focus on serial killers including but not limited to axe and knife wielding sociopaths. In her free time, she also spends hours spoiling her two pugs, named appropriately enough, "Dexter," and "Morgan."

Brian MeadowcroftBRIAN MEADOWCROFT: Brian grew up on horror as a kid watching horror movies, reading Fangoria Magazine and working in haunted houses.  He was truly hooked when watching the Evil Dead and Phantasm series.  Brian is now passing the tradition on by watching the latest horror movies and even acting in a few with his kids Angelo, Alyssa, Anthony and Adrien.

 

 

Colleen JonesCOLLEEN JONES: Colleen has been a horror fan ever since she was a child. She has been involved with the haunted house scene for about 6 years, working as an actor and a makeup artist. She has worked as a special effects makeup artist for 7 years. She has worked for Dream Reapers, and Eleventh Hour and many non for profit haunts. She is also the co-founder and head makeup artist of the Chicago Zombie March. She is an avid lover of all horror comedies zombie flicks and the evil dead series. Whenever she isn't causing zombie mischief, she is decorating cakes.
